Driverless vehicle development and electric car manufacturing is to earn a £500m boost, announced UK chancellor Philip Hammond in his Budget speech yesterday (Wednesday).
Red tape is to be removed for tech firms, enabling them to test driverless vehicles on public UK roads by 2021.
The industry is expected to be worth £900bnn globally by 2025, and is currently growing by 16% each year.
