Google have outlined plans for a new alternative system to passwords, including activation with a ring on the user’s finger, in a new research
paper to be published later this month.
The report outlines multiple different ways in which people will be able
to log in to websites in the future, due to increasing fears over the
security of the traditional password login. Spam emails and marketing
scams have been attributed to the low security of the password method.
The paper also discusses the use of a USB stick, a user’s smartphone, or
other device, to personally log in to Google on insertion into the computer.
