How do you get back in touch with old leads? Do you have a system in place? How’s that working for you?

If you’re like many businesses, your strategy will be to call your old leads repeatedly, then email them and finally, if you don’t get through, call a colleague of theirs. Basically chasing up any chance of that old lead turning into business.

This process is tiring and painful. It wastes your time and frustrates the person you’re trying to contact.

What if there was a way you could drop a simple email across and wait for the leads to re-invigorate themselves, meaning you’re left to follow up on people who have actually said they’re interested in buying?

Thankfully, there is a way…

What is it? It’s The 9 Word Email!

Really? Yes, really. This 9 word email has been said to have helped re-invigorate a lead into buying close to £1,000,000 worth of Yacht and many other sales on top.

You’re already dying to know what it says aren’t you?! Well, something similar is also used by Amazon… Recognise this?

Are you looking for something in our Wireless Microphones department? If so, you might be interested in these items.

Amazon then go on to list a selection of similar products. But The 9 Word Email is slightly different. It’s an email you can copy and paste and send to old leads… And this is how it looks:

Are you still looking for [insert your produce or service here]?

And that’s it!

This may go something like this:

Are you still looking for a digital magazine to help drive leads to your dealership?

Simply send this out to your old leads, it doesn’t matter how long it’s been since you last spoke to them, (although hopefully you have a decent follow up process in place already so it won’t have been too long?!?) you can send this out a few days, weeks or even months after the lead first came in.

I can’t take credit for this though, listen to this awesome podcast from Dean Jackson and Joe Polish, they first talked about the idea and you’ll get even more info about how it works:
