More than a fifth (20.3%) of Facebook’s ad revenue now comes frommobile devices, through the service’s native mobile app for smartphones
and tablets.

The survey, conducted by social marketing platform Kenshoo, drew its
data from over two million Facebook ad clicks in the final months of
2012, across a range of ad subjects. Mobile ads now command a 70 per
cent premium over desktop ads.

Mobile ads cost more and generate fewer clicks than on the desktop site
– the average cost per click on mobile is $1.38 compared to $0.81 on
desktop.
