The charity dedicated to supporting those in the automotive industry, Ben, has launched a one-day training programme that equips management-level employees with the necessary tools needed to support those around them dealing with mental health problems.
Shorter masterclasses aimed at employees keen to learn how to cope with mental health issues are also available.
The move by Ben comes as a government report has been issued warning that 300,000 of the UK workforce suffering with long-term medical health problems lost their job. This figure, according to Ben, could reach more than 8,000 in the automotive industry.
