Microsoft’s new Surface tablet may mean the beginning of the end fordead-screen computers.

The Surface was intended to bridge the gap between desktop computer and
tablet, featuring a lock-in keyboard and bluetooth mouse. Touch elements
can be integrated with mouse and keyboard controls, an idea once
described by late Apple CEO Steve Jobs as ‘ergonomically horrible’.

The tablet features a new set of touch and mouse shortcuts. To access
the ‘charms bar’, the mouse is dragged quickly down the right edge of
the screen, and to change tasks fingers are swept across from the left
side of the screen.

So is this combination the end for dead-screen computers?
