Agency partnerships, hiring senior team members and delivering overseas were just some of the topics of conversation on offer at the fourth GoldSand Digital Agency Drinks, which took place last Thursday (4 July) in Clerkenwell.
More than 30 representatives from agencies across the UK attended and enjoyed the sunshine and a few drinks with industry partners. From design house Creative Sauce to content agency Gravity Road and financial specialist InvestorComs, there was a broad range of businesses contributing to some interesting conversations.
The pressure was never on to make this a ‘networking’ event, and as it has grown in the past 12 months it has increasingly become a haven for agencies to discuss work, or not, and simply grow their network of friends and colleagues.
Nick Salt, Head of Production at GoldSand Digital, who has played an integral role in the development of the event, explained: “The first agency drinks saw just three agency members attend, but in a short space of time this has climbed to 30 and the next event is already shaping up to be the biggest yet. The remit is simple: arrive, be open and have fun. There’s no pressure to talk work, but partnerships that have and will generate significant revenue have already been struck.”
The July event was sponsored for the first time, by advisory firm Endeavour.
