French iPhones will not receive LTE compatibility before the end of this year, as the French agency for telecommunications ARCEP fail to make a decision on which 'telco' should supply access first.   Bouygues Telecom is the most likely candidate, having applied in July last year. iPhone app revenue has been proven to rise by over 150% in a week when prices are discounted, according to a study by analytics firm Distimo.   iPhone software has seen average downloads grow by 1665% over five days when prices are cut. iPad downloads increased by 871%.   The report goes on to explain: "There is a two-fold explanation for this lagged revenue growth effect: either an increase in income from one-off fees or an increase in income generated by in-app purchases". An Oreo advert capitalised on this Sunday's Superbowl 'blackout' by tweeting a response image within minutes of the power outage in the Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.   The power was lost mid way during the NFL game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens. Lady Gaga's youtube account has lost over 150 million views on YouTube, after a crackdown on artificial inflation by the video sharing site.   A YouTube spokesperson revealed that VEVO reduced the play counts on many of its major artists by up to 2 million in December last year. Stipple, an app which embeds interactive hotspots within images has been added to Facebook. Hotspots can be placed on specific points of the image, and contain links, additional notes, audio, video and other dynamic features.   The service will allow marketers to add multiple dynamic facets to Facebook images, which will be displayed on users' news feeds.   Stipple has been available on Twitter since November last year. Samsung did not willfully infringe on Apple's design and utility patents, as was ruled by a federal judge on Tuesday in Apple's claim for bonus damages.   It was reinstated, however, that Samsung had violated Apple's intellectual property in as many as seven patents, including product design and essential interface elements.   The case began a year ago, and in August Apple was awarded $1.05 billion. On February 13, Google Shopping will become a paid service, available only to customers of another Google service, Product Listing Ads.   A study by Marin Software has revealed that advertisers with PLA campaigns have achieved success in the US. BlackBerry messenger has gained a video chat feature, available on the new BlackBerry 10 OS, which was released today. It will also feature BBM Voice, which will allow free voice calls over Wi-Fi, and will let users switch between talking and texting.   The new BlackBerry Z10, also revealed today, is eight ounces heavier than the iPhone 5, with around the same resolution as Samsung's Galaxy S III.
